Patsy Arlene Gaisior
"Pat"
31 Years Old

February 27, 1949 to December 3, 1980

Patsy was the fourth child of a family of five children and reared in the rural community of Atkinson Mills, PA. She was very active in her church and sung in the church choir. She joined the 4-H of Mifflin County and became an expert at sewing, which was her hobby.

Pat graduated from Mount Union High School and attended Madison Univesity in Virginia.

Patsy was employed by a lawyer as a Secretary. While there, she was accepted as a Service Representative for Bell of Pennsylvania in Lewistown, PA. The Lewistown office closed and she was transferred to the Harrisburg office. While working for Bell, she received many thank you notes and comments from the general public whom she helped with different situations.

Pat is sadly missed by her two sisters and two brothers as well as her parents.

CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE MURDER

Patsy Gaisior was kidnapped by Frank Johnson, 23, of Harrisburg, PA, and Robert Andre Ruff, 21, of Philadelphia, PA., on December 3, 1980. Both men were found guilty of kidnapping and interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle.

They took her to the bank and made her draw money from her account, then she was taken to a motel in Washington, D.C. where she was raped. She was then taken to the Anacostia Park, where Robert Ruff shot her with Frank Johnson's gun. Both men threw her body into the Anacostia River. We never recovered her body.

Frank Johnson is confined at U.S. Penitentiary, Terre Haute, Indiana, and is forecast to be there until 2012.

Robert Ruff had to serve his Pennsylvania time. In 1987, he began his New Jersey time before starting to serve his Federal time. Mr. Ruff has a long criminal record and parole violations in eastern states.

We are unsure which Federal Penitentiary Ruff is serving his life sentence.
