Norman Robert Davis
20 Years Old

February 27, 1958 to July 28, 1978

Norman Davis, of East Norwich, New York, was a tall blond-bearded young man who loved the outdoors and planned a career in the general area of Ecology. He had completed two years at SUNY-Binghampton, New York and was going to start his junior year.

Norman was an Eagle Scout; his community project was a book drive. He collected several thousand books and donated them to the library at the Nassau County Jail (Isn't that ironic?)

CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE MURDER

On a sunny summer day, Norman Davis, 20, of East Norwich, New York, came home early from his summer job cleaning swimming pools. When he arrived home, he encountered two men who had just stolen jewelry from the Davis home. The two lured Norman into the house with promises to "put everything back" and then stabbed him to death with kitchen knives.

Charles Antonelli pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 11 to 22 years in prison. John Bennett pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
