Bob Michael Collins, Sr.
"Mickey"
38 Years Old

May 9, 1955 to August 26, 1993

Mickey Collins, of Marietta, Georgia, was one of the kindest men a person could ever know. He would give you the shirt off of his back. He was looked up to and loved by all.

Mickey was well known as a real joker and made everyone around him laugh. He served four years in the U.S. Army - 3 and 1/2 of those years in Germany. He collected old coins, movies and music albums. Mickey also collected chess sets and loved to play chess. He took classes at Chattahochee Tech to become an auto mechanic. His stepfather trained him as a painter. He loved homemade potato soup and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mickey left behind a loving mother, stepfather, many sisters, brothers, nieces, nephew, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He also left behind a terminally ill daughter who is now 11 and a son who is 19.

CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE MURDER

While Mickey Collins, 38, of Marietta, Georgia, was working on his car in his driveway, two young boys walked up and shot him in the left side, leaving him to die. Although neighbors saw the two boys walk down the street, heard the gun shot and gave a description to the police, the murder is still unsolved. Since Mickey was preparing to pay some bills, he had a substantial amount of cash on him at the time. It was never touched. There is a $4,000 reward being offered.
