Freddie A. Cicherski Jr. (A.J.)
20 Years Old

August 29, 1986 to April 8, 2007

A.J. was born Freddie August Cicherski Jr. in Houston, Texas on August 29th, 1986. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21 inches long. He was born to Freddie and Terri Cicherski. He was my miracle baby since I was told I couldn’t have children. A.J. was a pure joy and the best baby a mother could wish for.

A.J. always had a smile on his face, from the time he was born. He was so happy go lucky. In school all his teachers said it was such a joy to have him in their class. He graduated from Waltrip High School in 2004. He also took some classes at a community college. He wanted to be an engineer.

A.J. never met a stranger. He loved all people no matter what their race or background was. He always told me to look beyond the physical appearance of a person. He touched many people’s lives while here. He was very wise beyond his years.

He loved playing basketball with this friends and his nephew John. He loved playing ball and games with younger children. They all looked up to him. He was the most patient person when it came to kids, he adored them. I know he would have been a fantastic dad himself.

He loved going up to his dad’s farm in Marlin, Texas. He helped with the cattle and other animals. He just enjoyed spending time with his dad and helping with whatever he could. He loved his family and wanted their approval in everything he did. He was always very respectful to grownups. He loved life and wanted to experience everything it had to offer. In his short 20 years here on earth, he did more than most of us do in a lifetime. I could go on and on about AJ, but there is not enough room to write it all. All I can say is, “He was the best son a mother and father could ask for.” He was taken from us way too soon and by such a horrible death. He will be missed and loved forever. He was a precious gift to us all.

On Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007 at about 9:10 P.M. AJ was walking westbound in the 9300 block of East Mount Houston Road, in Houston, Texas. Freddie “A.J.” Cicherski Jr., 20 years old, was struck by at least two vehicles. The last vehicle to strike him was described as a dark colored full size pickup truck, possibly a Ford 150.

Freddie died at the scene from the injuries he sustained. None of the vehicles that struck him stopped to render aid.

Crime Stoppers will pay $10,000.00 for information leading to the identification, arrest and charging of anyone involved in this tragic case.

The case is still unsolved.

Rest in peace my precious son.
