National Parents Of Murdered Children Conference Unites Survivors of Violence
The 30th Annual Parents Of Murdered Children, Inc. (POMC) National Conference was held in Orlando, Florida on July 21- July 24, 2016, at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort. The theme for this year's conference is "We Are the Survivors, Joined Together We Are Strong.” Hundreds of people who have lost family and friends to homicide gathered to learn more about dealing with traumatic grief and navigating the investigative and judicial processes, while providing and receiving emotional support to and from others who have experienced the anguish of homicidal violence. The Conference offered more than 35 workshops on traumatic grief, navigating the maze of investigative and judicial processes and other topics.
