The Mission of POMC:

POMC makes the difference through on-going emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy, and awareness.

POMC Vision Statement:

To provide support and assistance to all survivors of homicide victims while working to create a world free of murder.


Membership is open to those who have been cruelly bereaved by the murder of a loved one. Professionals who are in frequent contact with grieving families are also welcome to join.

The National Organization of Parents Of Murdered Children (POMC) expresses our heartfelt sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives in the horrific tragedy in Orlando, Florida on Sunday, June 12, 2016 as well as those who are killed by violence every day in our nation. The impact on the victims and families, the community of Orlando and our entire Nation cannot begin to be described and POMC stands with all the survivors --as together we are strong!

On September 25, 2016, The National Organization of Parents Of Murdered Children, Inc. and countless other crime victims and survivors will gather in cities and towns across the United States for the National Day of Rembrance to pay tribute and honor our nation's murder victims and their surviving family members.

The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims not only recognizes murder victims but also honors those organizations throughout the United States that provide services such as support, advocacy and counsel to loved ones of murder victims.

List Of 2016 DOR Events

We have the following National Day of Remembrance items available: t-shirts ($12.00), large flags ($40.00), banners ($25.00), balloons (.50) and ribbons (free) but must pay postage.
