POMC Chapters hold monthly meetings, provide support, advocacy and court accompaniment. Many POMC Chapters publish their own newsletters and have designed and implemented special programs to meet the needs of survivors in their area. Underlined Chapters indicate links to individual websites.
If you are interested in starting a POMC chapter, send a letter (addressed to POMC) or E-mail POMC expressing your interest. Give the background on who you lost and when the loss occured. Include any information pending in your case. Please state your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. We will send you an information packet. After reviewing the information, if you are still interested in starting a chapter, please call the National Office at 888-818-7662 to schedule a phone interview with Sherry. Other information will be sent to you in order to complete the requirements for starting a chapter.
Because social media channels are fairly new to many POMC Chapters and their members, we’ve assembled “best practice” guidelines from respected online and industry sources to help you use these forums effectively, protect your personal and professional reputation, and follow POMC policies. These guidelines will apply whether you are writing on behalf of your Chapter or as an individual.
CHILDREN UNDER 18 ARE NOT ALLOWED IN SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS OR AT THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS.
